A delegation of the Institute of Seismic Safety LLP held official talks with Beijing QuakeSeek Digital Intelligence Technology Ltd. Co. — a developer of intelligent technologies and digital solutions for seismic monitoring and earthquake early warning. The parties discussed long-term cooperation aimed at advancing modern seismic safety technologies in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Main topics of the talks

  • design, construction and development of seismic monitoring networks, earthquake early-warning systems and induced-seismicity monitoring;
  • joint seismic safety assessment projects for facilities of heightened responsibility, including nuclear power plants, hydraulic structures, bridge crossings, oil and gas pipelines and other critical infrastructure;
  • adoption of artificial-intelligence technologies for automated seismic data processing, earthquake detection, improved accuracy of determination and early-warning algorithms, including the Diting software platform;
  • localisation and deployment of modern AI solutions for seismology in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
  • demonstration of seismic equipment, monitoring hardware-software complexes and digital technologies developed by Beijing QuakeSeek;
  • defining cooperation mechanisms and terms for delivering joint projects in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

What was agreed

The parties signed Framework Cooperation Agreement No. 1, setting out the principles of long-term scientific, technical and commercial cooperation.

The Institute received the status of official agent of Beijing QuakeSeek Digital Intelligence Technology Ltd. Co. in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The signing marked an important step in the Institute's international cooperation and laid the groundwork for bringing advanced digital technologies, intelligent seismic monitoring systems and AI-based solutions that meet modern global seismic safety standards to Kazakhstan.
